About Our School
Pretty River Academy is a charitable, non-profit, independent school, audited and accredited by the Ministry of Education, and the Canadian Educational Standards Institute that provides families throughout the Georgian Triangle with an excellent choice for education. Our mission is to strive for excellence in all we do through a passion for learning.
Established in 1998 by inspired educator Roberta Murray Hirst, the school has flourished and grown steadily since its inception. Under Roberta's direction as Principal and Chief Administrator, enrolment has expanded from an initial 20 to its present 156 students, spanning all grades from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school has become an important and active participant in local and regional activities, and its success has attracted attention throughout the academic community.
Our Mission ...
to create a unique environment in which we can foster a passion for learning, and help each student achieve personal excellence.
