BOND PROGRAMME INFORMATION

Pretty River Academy has a refundable Bond Program. This was established in the spring of 2006. The Bond Program is the tool used to complete capital projects for Pretty River Academy now and in the future. Bond cheques are deposited into a Trust account. Security of the Bond Trust will sit in second position behind the conventional mortgage.

Each family provides a bond cheque upon enrollment of the student(s) in the school. Cheques are made payable to the Pretty River Academy Trust and are postdated August 15th. The Bond Program fee is $25,000 per student or $30,000 per family. The bond will be fully repaid September 1st of the year the student(s) leaves the school. There are two options available for the bond program, which is outlined below:

  • Payment of the full Bond
Payment of $25,000 if one student is attending and $30,000 for families with two or more students is due at the time of registration and must be paid in full by August 15th at the latest. Payments to investors and to departing families must be paid by the Trust on September 1st so this date cannot be extended. The Bond payment, as well as up to date tuition fees, must be received prior to any student beginning the school year.

  • Financing the Bond payment
Each individual family choosing this option will be responsible for organizing their own financing of the Bond payment. However, the school wishes to continue to support the families at our school. Below are some contacts who are fully acquainted with the Bond program and may be able to assist if you choose this option. The school is not endorsing any specific option and you may choose to deal with another financial institution or individual. The requirement remains the same as above; full payment of the Bond is required by August 15th.
